Edina at Cloquet (1-25) at Duluth East (1-26)

This should be a good test of all three teams involved. What does everyone think?

I think that you, your dad, and his money better not look past the game the Hornuts have tonight... Just ask teams like WBL and HM how well that's worked out for them this season.

And that's great capitalization and punctuation.

Keep looking past teams, we love the inflated Edina ego... Makes the losses all that more "shocking"! :D

Which losses are those? Edina lost by a goal to Benilde, by all accounts a very good team. Tonight they play Armstrong. They'll beat Armstrong.

They can lose games, but not tonight.

Similarly, Roseau has lots of games they know they can't lose.

Just out of curiousity, how many Armstrong games have you seen in Orlando this year to have such a strong opinion?

I'm not claiming they're going to win this thing, but if Edina makes the wrong mistake at the wrong time, the Falcons may have just enough individual talent to catch them off guard. Edina is clearly the better overall team, but if the rest of the Hornuts are already on the bus up north like their cheerleader here, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that it could happen.

If I were a betting man though....

Armstrong does have individual talent. In order to beat Edina tonight Thorson (#39) must play all three positions: forward, defense and goalie. He's a good player. [/b]

I'd say you may be 2/3 right. From the few times I've seen them this year, their goaltending has been fairly decent - I think they've only been roughed up one time this season.

Of course I do realize this is on another level. We'll see.

edina will not beat cloquet in running time and east by 4, that would be ridiculous, edina is a very good team, but you are making cloquet and east sound terrible.

personally, i think they will beat cloquet by 2, maybe 3 and i think east may have a decent chance to pull off the upset, edina won't get to sleep in their own beds after their game against cloquet and cloquet will give them a game.

these are going to be two pretty good games, don't get me wrong, i know edina is definitely the favorite, but if east or cloquet plays their best game, one or the other or dare i say it BOTH teams could come out with wins.

the hounds are hot right now and could be looking at 7 straight wins going into saturday.

don't doubt the north.

I agree. Teams are never more vulnerable than when their fans start looking past games.

You had to laugh at those "Kings of State" t-shirts running around last year at excel right before Grand Rapids beat your "Kings of State". Keep talking, boys up north love this stuff!!

I can assure you that it is not the players making these stupid remarks. Edina is banged up with Regan and Baker out with back injuries. Edina understands how tough it is playing up against any of the Northern teams. Should be two great games.

When they're still trotting Lee, the Eversons, the Gaarders, Budish, Gleason and Caschetta out there, I'm not sure they're all that banged up!
