Park Rapids Quality Wins
There has been allot of talk about PR and if they are good enough to beat Warroad in the section. If you take a look at Park Rapids' schedule, it is not impressive at all. I also think there is no way they can beat Warroad. I know they are undefeated, which is nice, but why all of the hype? The only "quality" wins are over EGF and TRF. And that's borderline. People ask if they can beat LF. No Way.

Re: Park Rapids Quality Wins
They're undefeated. Showing a list of all they teams they beat, looking at the score they beat them by, and trying to compare that to other teams is pointless. We'll all just have to wait until they are beaten--if that happens.ozzie679 wrote:There has been allot of talk about PR and if they are good enough to beat Warroad in the section. Through last nights game, PR's opponents are a combined (MN games) 96 wins, 179 losses and 7 ties (35% winning pct.). Two are above .500, one is at .500, 14 are below .500. Two are winless.
Ten would be considered decent including 2 quality; based on their record, similar hockey programs to PR and their recent past performance, IMO.

I think everyone by now knows that Park Rapids has a weak schedule...but what do you want them to do...the bottem line is they have won every game up to this point and they will continue to try to do that.
Any team that is going to be undefeated this late in the year is going to get alot of hype...and whether or not some people believe they should or not is an opinion
And i would be willing to bet that if you asked any one of the players, coaches or parents on the PR hockey team...would you like to play more tough teams? they would answer yes.
Pr isnt a hockey town and there for hasnt had two many good teams on their schedule...they seem to get another each yr, or at least try too, but a few of the teams they play are down this yr, and this is also the best team PR has ever had.
But i can say this..i know not too many people thought they would beat TRF last night...and they manhandled them.

Park Rapids
Hey, Park Rapids did it. With a 4-0 win over a decent team and an undefeated record with wins over other "decent" teams Park Rapids may make some noise. Just time to face the facts guys, Park Rapids is having a breakout year. The thing to wonder is, are they going to be another Wadena or will they actually build off of a great year...........
