Hill-Murray vs Tartan - Round II

Post by H-M 4 Life »

Just wondering who people think is gonna win this game. Hill lost to Tartan earlier in the year 3-2. I think Hill will be looking to embarass Tartan as much as they can and win big. I was talking with one of the players from Hill and they say it will be a bloodbath but who knows.

That's the kind of attitude that led to a 3-2 loss. Hill kids shoudl quit smack talking and go out there and win a freaking game they are supposed to win.

It's okay, you can still hope for Tartan to win this one. Kind of like me hoping the Vikings win next weekend...

well not two touchdowns but a couple of field goals.

Tartans Goalie is fun to watch that kid is a fighter. If he wasnt so good and worked as hard as he did it could have been 3 tds

I thought Hill put on a clinic tonight. They moved the puck well & never really allowed Tartan to do much. I like the move of Widing to the first line & was happy to see Furne have a big night against his former club. Nice job boys!

Who got moved off of the first line to make room for Widing?

Cecka. He is playing on the second line & they looked very good tonight.

Cecka got moved to second line. 1st line is now Furne, Zepeda, and Widing. Second line is Cecka, Kohls, and Singerhaus. Didn't they change the defense some too?

They did make some moves there as well. Dolan & Sova are paired which is a nice combo.

Cecka played on that line last year near the end of the year and I thought they were better then the Larson Furne and Zepeda line during the payoffs. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this line combo the rest of the year...

I agree the second line looks very strong. If they got the same ice time as the first line I think they wold score just as often.

Hats off to Hill for their much anticipated round two game against Tartan
Movement of the puck was impressive, fore checking, back checking, defense, crisp passing and accurate shooting put the boys in blue to shame.
This game was a good indicator of where both teams are at.
Congrats to Hill for a well played game.

I still want to say that heading into sections, Tartan is going to know they did it once so it could happen again. By all means Hill should beat them down like they did last night, but you never know. That confidence will lead to a closer game in sections. I'm thinking Tartan very well might get the 4th or 5th seed, so it is quite likely they will face Hill in the semis...

I fully expect a HM/Tartan section semi-final game. I'm sure the game won't be as onesided as last night's but I also expect Hill to advance to the finals to play the WB/Roseville winner. If Hill plays in sections like they did last night, I'm confident another state tournament appearance will be at hand. Next step for this club is the STA game at the X with the winner likely being awarded the conference title. Keep working hard boys.
