pond hockey

Post by TheHockeyDJ »

I'm wondering what arenas in Duluth and the Twin Cities have pond hockey during the day on weekdays. Also, in Duluth specifically, what is a good outdoor rink near Canal Park, that has well maintained ice?

Not really near Canal Park, Congdon has a couple of nice rinks. Overall, the city of Duluth does a nice job with most of its rinks. Lower Chester, Woodland, Glen Avon are also nice.

Pond hockey? Is this also known as "Open" hockey or "Drop-in"?

I think Minnesota Made has a session daily, but that might be only in the summer. If you want to come out with me there is 12:30 - 1:45 during the week at RDV and 9:15 to 11:45 at Space Coast, but it probably is too far to drive!!! ;)

Check the MM website.

If you can't get on an outdoor rink in Duluth, Hermantown has excellent outdoor rinks.
