The District 10 PWA Tournament Starts this Sunday 2/17 @ Andover Community Center.

Coon Rapids 2 Vs Andover 1
This was a good game. Very back and forth. Coon Rapids goaltender played fantastic. Andover hit the cross bar with 5 secs remaining and the puck dropped straight down and stalled on the goal-line. Exciting ending to an exciting game.
Blaine 5 Vs Anoka 1
Blaine was leading 2-1 after the first period. The second period was played pretty even, with Blaine getting the only goal of the period. Blaine pulled away early in the 3rd, by scoring 2 goals in the first 3 mins of the 3rd to take the 5-1 lead.

Very Interesting game. The first period ended with a 0-0 score, and neither team getting many quality chances. The second period saw Andover take over and get a good handful of chances and took a 2-0 lead before Anoka put one home. The second period ended 2-1. To start the 3rd period Andover came out and peppered the Anoka end scoring 2 goals (plus one waved off) to take a 4-1 lead. Anoka scored with just under 5 mins remaining to cut the lead to 2. With about 3 and half minutes left an Anoka player was injured and taken off on a stretcher to an awaiting ambulance. Thoughts and Prayers are with that player and family. Anoka scored to cut the lead to 4-3 with 2:30 remaining, but was not able to get the equalizer.
Andover will play either Elk River or St. Cloud on Saturday at 1:45pm @ Andover Community Center.
UPDATE: I hear the Anoka player that was taken to the Hospital is OK, in some pain still, but avoided a potential worse situation. Thanks you to those that kept him in your thoughts!!!
