The 190's are a B%$%$ to break in. Go with the 40's or look at the Easton S15 Stealths. Stealths are lighter than them all and super soft.

The S15 is the best one year hockey skate you can buy and they are usually about $80-100 cheaper than the 190 or the 40s. The elite player will chew them up in a season.

Don't buy 40's until you at least look at and try on the Easton Stealths S15's. There is no break in to them.
