Help your Admin decide

Post by east hockey »

Next Wednesday night, I have a choice of two venues:

1. tDECC where Hibbing and Duluth Marshall will be meeting to decide the 7A title

2. CARC (Cloquet) where Duluth Denfeld will lock horns with St. Cloud Cathedral to decide 5A.

Where to go and why? If you ask my rooting preference in those two games, it's Hibbing and Denfeld.

Drive-time isn't an issue; CARC is 20 minutes, tDECC is less than five.

(Props to govs93 for giving me the idea)

If you like goals- Cloquet.
If you like goalies/defense- DECC.

You do know Cathedral has one of the best defensive groups in Class A, right?

Here's how I see it. Denfeld's got a pretty darn good offensive attack. SCC has a pretty darn good group of D. It'll be a dog fight, no doubt.

Both will be great games...can't go wrong.

Since drive time isn't an issue  , you should go to the 5AA semi's.

Or better yet, drive a bit further and go to the 2AA & 6AA finals.

You could even drive to Thief River Falls for the 8AA game.

That'd be a wasted trip. 8AA finals moved to the Ralph in TRF.

Do you want a close game where the lower seed prevails or do you want to watch the machine take the lower seed apart?

If its a close game go watch Denfeld earn a spot at the X.
Marshall has the bus lined up for the I35 trip, the pregame meal planned for Wednesday, and the spot in the trophy case cleared.

Either way, AA is better to watch so drive a bit further to watch any of those games.

This is the most brilliant idea for a thread I've seen since "Best Pizza". I have to vote in this one...

Marshall/Hibbing.

My choice would be the Hibbing/Marshall game.
My hockey watching schedule seems to have opened up a bit.

You may be right in the end. Just think Hibbing Marshall will be a lower scoring game. Anyway good luck with your decision LEE.

Seems we suffer from that same problem and it occurred on the same day, didn't it?

Pour some more gas in the tank and come on down to Mariucci. 2AA and 6AA back-to-back. Might wanna retire the flannel for a night though so you fit in.

Never owned flannel. Can I wear my Aloha shirt and paid-for tan? Image

With that bronze Hawaiian tan you'll get a red carpet escort to your pick of the Edina, Tonka, or BSM sections. I hear there's even a cake tasting party during the intermissions.
