Benilde did not face Woodbury this year.

Hill-Murray did not meet Lakeville South.

Edina beat Cloquet 5-1 on January 25th in Cloquet. The game was a mismatch. Players on Cloquet may be thinking they can't beat Edina, and the enemy on the other side is if the players think they can't lose. All through their youth and HS careers the Edina kids have been able to win the games they should win without looking past anyone.

Prediction: Edina 5-2.

Roseau faced Blaine on Hockey Day in Minnesota from an outdoor rink and prevailed 1-0. The takeaway on the Blaine side, even though conditions were a factor, is that they can play with these guys. Still, I've felt since Christmas that we are destined for a final between Roseau and Edina.

Prediction: Roseau 4-3.


Some interesting rematches in later rounds could be Benilde-St. Margaret's facing Edina and Hill-Murray.
