Where are they now?

Post by Bench Major »

A list of programs with past tournament success, only to be watching on their big screens this season. I'll start with five, if anyone wants to add a program/reason for a program not in the past few tourneys, or the next few.

1. Duluth East - top seed again is dismissed, 3rd year and counting...

2. Moorhead - I don't think the Roseau people have forgot (or forgiven) the 15-2 thrashing yet, 3rd year and counting...

3. White Bear Lake - The only game tougher for the Bears other than state quarterfinals recently has been the section final, 3rd year and counting...

4. Bloomington Jefferson - Is a Kennedy-Jefferson Co-Op in the future? Bring back the Bloomington Bears! 3rd year and counting...

5. Holy Angels - Two titles in a five year stretch, the Stars used up their holy water in 2005. 3rd year and counting...

What could have been? - Picks for this year -

1. Brainerd - Remain in 7AA and State was within their grasp.

2. Centennial - Are you serious, there are teams at the tournament with half the talent but twice the heart.

3. Rosemount - Having to hear about this group since bantams, coming within a running time game of getting to the Big Show.

Can't recall but I'm willing to bet there were two Cullen's on the team!

all those teams are on their way back....

D. East is rebuilding and shoulda done better this season
Jefferson, mock my words, will be the 2010 team to beat
Holy angels will be back next year

I see Edina, Jefferson, and AHA as top 5 teams (maybe even D. East) for the next two years
