I doubt that the championship game (or any of the games) will be "easy." Look for some great battles. All 8 teams are coming to win. But after watching all of these teams - I pick the RAVE to take state. I say that with the stipulation that the RAVE play like they've been playing as of late. But if they don't bring their "A" game then all bets are off.

I think the championship will end up being between RAVE and Lakeville. I agree with MetroScout in that if the RAVE play the way they did in the MHL playoffs, they should end up winning. That said, I don't see any easy wins and wouldn't be surprised with any upsets.

RAVE over Edina or Lakeville. They're a deeper team, they play smart defensively and a few of their guys are faster than most at this level.

Honestly, they'll have their hands full. Whoever wins the Lakeville/Edina game will come to compete.

But I wouldn't doubt it if any of the above teams get knocked out early because they think they've already won. All 8 of the teams want to win this thing.

Are you sure? I thought they were both in the Albert Lea tournament.

Lakeville lost in the first round to WBL in a shootout, so they never got to play eachother in it.

I'm not really familiar with any of the D8 teams. I've seen Lakeville play and they looked good. Is the woodbury team similar in ability to the lakeville team or is there a noticable disparity in talent between the two?

they are more of a hitting team than a skilled team. but it works, look at the ducks.
