Name your top AA players in Tourney

Post by Pucknutz69 »

Alright. I will stop the arguing and start a legit post.

#1 - Name you top 5 A and AA

#2 - Top goalie in each

#3 - Best Unknown player ( someone that impressed you that you haven't heard of yet)

How's that?

Top 5 players that impressed me so far

In no particular order

Cecka - hm
Landman - roseau
bergland - bsm
Gleason -edina
Budish -edina

Top goalies

phillippi (is doinf the job he has to)
,yumusaklar (held his team in it against hm...it could have been 8-0)
lee (here by default I guess, wasn't to impressibe against hm)

Most suprised
Landman - roseau

Biggest dissapointment
Ness - roseau (first time they play a top 5 team all year and he made a TON of mistakes)

NESS
I respectfully have to disagree with Poor Imitation.
This kid is loaded with talent. Eyes in the back of his head. You obviously don't know hockey. Hill Murray had a player on him the whole night. He still made great plays and was the player who was in on the non-goal. I think Lou Nanne knows what he is talking about. Don't you????
?:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Quite knocking the best player in the state & be glad he is from Minnesota!!!!!!     BA BYE

I agree, he may not have had his best game last night, but he makes plays like none other that I've seen this year. I'm glad he's going to be a Gopher.

You have a point, but let's see how he does against BSM - the tournament isn't over yet.

Yeah, I am really curious to see how Ness and the Rams play..obviously they are dissapointed about not playing in the title game, and are not accustomed to losing..can they rebound?

Although he won't make the All-Tournament Team, Woodbury goalie Brandon Wigen played great all three days.

Ness did make some mistakes last night but name ONE player in the tourney who moves the puck even close to as well as Ness. He makes passes his teammates aren't ready for. I see it this way, I'll take 5 of him and the other team can have any 5 they want. Sure would be fun to watch.

Surprises to me were: Kohls (HM), Applehof (BSM) & Rooney (STA). These guys get relegated to the shadows by their blue chip teammates.

All of the above had quality showings and I, for one, wasn't expecting it.

Many don't know about Wigen (Woodbury) but I saw him a few times this year. He's good!

I'd say Gleason moves the puck as well as Ness. 5 of Ness vs. 5 of Gleason would be fun to watch.

I think you have a good list, Buddish had some back checking mistakes last game, and overll Gleason has been excellent. Very fun to watch, his speed is amazing.

I would have added Budish to this list but didn't want to look like a total homer

I'll take the Pie&Ears and you can have Ness and his defending champs, #1 ranked unbeaten team.
That's fair isn't it?

Lets not read too much into one game. Hill deserved to win the game. Are you as certain the outcome would be the same if they played again. I loved Hill's game plan and they executed it to perfection.
