B as in B, S as in S
This just proves that stats and numbers mean nothing. You can not rank teams on scores, strength of schedule and wins and losses.
Those numbers are terrible, for example when it really mattered #4 beat #3 that makes them better!! And #11 beat everyone they had to in order to be the runner up in state. This is a foolish way to look at teams, it doesn't take into consideration which goalie played, who was hurt, where the game was played, did they just lock up a district title, did they have a player out on susupension. WHat really matters is who wins when it counts and I hate blowing the same horn over and over again. But it is the same coaches and the same teams in the dance every year, that can not be denied.....so you can take the numbers and well...... be creative

CNF - I have to disagree with you - These rankings are much more accurate than LPH, lets say.
MN Hocking rankings goes by Stregnth of schedule, final score, GA, GF - They take out all emotionally excuses..
Like which goalie played - Like that matters! The kid is a part of the team.
Who was hurt - who wasn't - suspensions, etc. Should another team just not show up and play cause Johhny Superstar is hurt or better yet - He's playing
You are right one thing - what really matters when it comes to rankings is Wins against strong teams and how often you play stronger teams, regardless of who is playing - how bad the refs where and anything else comes to mind. And your rightabout the same teams being in the dance every other year - It's those pesky good associations and coaches that take hockey serious...And please lets not use the SIZE of the program for an excuse - Big or small.
