Mark Jorgensen resigns as MN Hockey Ex Dir

Post by elliott70 »

Mark Jorgensen has taken another job effective the end of June (June 27th).

I do not know what (or if there will be) the process to replace him will be.
Just thought the word should be spread.

Although I often disagreed with Mark J; I always found him hard working and willing to listen.

His role was defined by the executive board (his boss) and acted in their interest.

If you have a problem with Mark J, then you have a problem with the exec board. And they are not going anywhere.

Mark did a fine job for MN Hockey. I have to agree with E70, he was always willing to listen and pushed the agenda he was given.

The minutes of the board indicate his annual review was in the past few months . . . was he given indications it was best to look for a new job? In any case, best wishes to him. 8)

Mark J is an intellligent guy.
I do not think anyone thought he would be there for a career.
He has moved back in the direction he has wanted to. It may not be his wife's first choice, but they are a good couple and made this decision on their own.
MN Hockey would not have let him go (other than if we could not have afforded it).
