She Made 63 Saves last night as she singlehandedly defeated Armstrong 1-0. She really kept her cool.
Armstrong dominated them 48-2 over the last two periods including 32-1 in the third! The last two periods were all in Cooper's zone.
She is a junior goalie.
I don't know what the record is for MOST saves in a shutout but hard to imagine a team winning that is outshot 63-10 for the game.
Cooper only has 10 skaters I believe.

Hopkins played Cooper and we had 67 shots and I told people next to me that Burns was going to be very good sometime with all the action she is going to see. She made some superb saves against Hopkins. Cooper's win over Armstrong amazed me when I saw the shots. WOW.

What a great effort by Burns! hats off to her.
Kari Hunter (Bloomington Kennedy) in 06-07 had 66 saves in a 0-0 tie vs Shakopee. I do not know what the record is, but either way great performances!
Burns also had a 40 save night in a victory over Kennedy in overtime this week. She played a great game there as well.
