They are probably #7 or 8 in the section this year.
I see a first round loss.

Wasn't it just last year that they played Benilde, and the shot total was 66-0?
Did they get it turned around that quickly, that they can now actually score?

Yes they lost I think 12-0 to benilde last year.
They were 6-21 last year and the only players they returned from last years team with more than 2 goals were Benik(21g 11a) and Rechile(4g 6a). They couldn't have picked up to much talent. So i'm thinking there is no playoff run.

I think the saints have a lot of undiscovered talent that could take them far this year. they've already beaten teams that they wouldn't have been close to in the past. I think this squad is playing more as a team this season.

They will not go anywhere, they have played teams that are awful. Playing more like a team? They have one player, and he is very good but any decent team will take him away and they will be sunk. With the incredably weak schedule they play Benik may lead the state in scoring. But when playoff time comes around they will be lucky to win the play in game in 7AA. Although that would be better than the last few years!

joey benik is not any better than any other decent high school player. I had to see what all this hype was about to i took a trip to watch st francis play mpls over the weekend. Sure he had a pair of goals, but most of the game he was sitting on the blue line looking for a home run pass and a break away. Barely helped his team break the puck out, not very fast. And hey matt jones from mpls scored two goals in that game as well. I just dont see what all the hype is about???

SF coaches should be embarassed. Granted they have no talent except for Benik, but they have him and the other player on the team who is able to skate, stand between the blue and red lines. The defense is not even able to get the puck out of the zone for the suckhole. The same line is on the ice for 14 of 17 minutes per period.

The asst. coach has been with these kids all the way through youth. For the past 7-8 years they have been instructed to "get the puck to Joey".

They'll be the 9 or 10 seed even after downgrading their schedule this year. They had one or two scoring chances against Cambridge tonight. I couldn't imagine being the parent of a player on that team.

I agree. this team prolly is the most overrated team in the state. benik just looks for breakaway passes at the red line and their defensive core can not handle a decent forecheck
