Actually, I don't think that Red Wing really beat Mayo last night. All of Red Wing goals came from Mayo mistakes. It was a fast tough game up until the last second. Mayo did not back down even when they were down 4 - 1.

Mayo was also in the box 7 times to red wings 2. shots were 25-21 in favor of red wing. so it didn't sound like too bad of a game other than the penalties.

Hey visa, Yes Red Wing did beat Mayo 4-1. I just wanted to clarify this. And most games are lost by teams making mistakes as you just said Mayo did in this game. If nobody would make a mistake would anybody win. Better teams are determined by who makes the least mistakes. And in this case the better team ended up being Red Wing. But I will give you credit you must be a die hard fan of Mayo. But next time be reasonable.

I don't know what game you were watching or what you heard but Red Wing dominated that whole game; Mayo never controlled the puck in their zone once. The only time they got scoring chances is when #20 or #21 were cherry picking behind RW defense and got a break away.

They got penalties because they were frustrated by the defense and the fact they kept getting crushed on every hit. I have never saw so many players hit the ice in a high school game than Mayo did. Plus RW only scored 1 PP goal so the penalties really didn't matter that much. If Mayo had better defensmen it would have been a better game, but their defense was slow and weren't very skilled and RW forwards took advantage of it.

Your right one goal did come from a Mayo player passing the puck right to a RW forward and he got a break away. All the other goals were legit, just good play.
