Post by wbmd »

Who do you see as the favorite this year and why?

First round match-ups are:

Eagan vs. North St. Paul
St. Paul Johnson vs. Woodbury
Anoka vs. Bloomington Kennedy
Hopkins vs. South St. Paul

Hopkins is the defending champion.

interesting that the home team would schedule the defending champ to a first round matchup

Personally, I see Woodbury as the favorite due to their balance, depth and coaching.

South St. Paul will take second.

The interesting match-up - if it does take place - would be Johnson and North St. Paul. The Polars' Joe Rubbelke against his former team.

Hopkins may be overrated but Boyd has 14 points in 8 games as a freshman come on it was only one game. The kid is still very talented.

I hope Hopkins would win that game, that Bloomington Kennedy team was not good.

Eagan won 6-0. In the 7th place game, Johnson defeated Kennedy 5-3 and 5th place went to Hopkins with an 8-0 victory over North St. Paul.
