Anders Lee---Notre Dame???
This article in the StarTribune says at the end of the article he will be playing for Notre Dame in 2010-2011 after a year in GB. I had not heard this anywhere else. Can someone confirm?

Did you put the wrong article in? I can't find it saying that anywhere.
"Etc.
• Lee will play hockey at Notre Dame beginning in the 2010-11 season. He will graduate from Edina this spring then will play one season with Green Bay of the USHL."
It is at the very end of the article on the second page. It says etc.. after the article on page 2

The NLOI doesn't dictate when a player starts school. Last I heard, whether Budish comes in or not depends on a lot of factors. The Gopher coaching staff would only admit to "early departures" as a factor, but I'm sure how-high-and-to-whom-he-goes in the NHL draft will have some bearing as well. Recovery from injury will probably factor in very little, as he should be 100% by summer... plenty of time to get in shape for the fall.TheSniper09 wrote:On Chris Heisenberg's website it says he will be there 2010-2011 as a freshman. So he will be playing at green bay next year? Budish will be there also? i thought he signed the NLOI for the 2009-2010 season? anyone no anything bout this?
Re: Anders Lee---Notre Dame???
I heard alec koenen has already passed up all of anders record as a freshman at AHA. He is a real up in coming star in minnesota and even the world.southernmnscout wrote:This article in the StarTribune says at the end of the article he will be playing for Notre Dame in 2010-2011 after a year in GB. You really gotta spell it out for him, he struggles at times.southernmnscout wrote:HShockeywatcher wrote:Good for him. Good, smart kid. Good program, good school. Best of luck. Too bad he has to miss a year of school.

I am not sure why he even comments other than to get in to a debate with people. He knows nothing about hockey obviously, yet has more posts than almost everyone on this "bored"EREmpireStrikesBack wrote:You really gotta spell it out for him, he struggles at times.southernmnscout wrote:HShockeywatcher wrote:Good for him. Wow, southernmnscout, way to be a jerk. I mistakenly thought the article was a page long, so I asked a question.
Barely any of my posts are meant to debate things with people. I give my opinion, that people don't agree with, and they start debating with me. I thought that's what a forum like this was about, discussing opinions?
When I came here I knew very little, which is why I ask questions. It's amazing how rude people can be; someone doesn't know something and he humbles himself and asks a question and gets made fun of.
Way to turn a positive thread into something negative. Good luck to Anders with Edina, Green Bay, Notre Dame and Beyond.

Hearts not the issue here. The U had no room for Lee. In this case it apparently has worked-out for everyone. Gopher Blog would confirm as such.

Agreed. Keegan Flarhety played there last year and totally fell off the radar. Now he is on the Fargo Force, got a D-1 Scholly, and is in the All-Star game.mulefarm wrote:Green Bay doesn't seem like a good fit for Lee. A lot of penalty min. and older players. Not a good place for skill players to develope.

Arrested
9 INCOMING NOTRE DAME FRESHMEN ARRESTED
http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2 ... coming.php
Nine incoming Notre Fame freshmen were arrested late Saturday night, among 44 students -- 27 of which were athletes -- arrested in all, after a local party got out of control.
Forty-two of the 44 were cited for underage drinking, including Nate Montana, a junior backup quarterback on the football team, and son of legend Joe Montana.
The nine incoming hockey players arrested were Jared Beers, Jeff Costello, David Gerths, Anders Lee, Joe Rogers, Steven Summerhays, Shayne Taker and Mike Voran. Meanwhile, North Dame defenseman and senior-to-be Joe Lavin and another student were arrested on charges of serving alcohol to minors. Lavin lives at the house where the arrrests were made, and Saturday was his 21st birthday, according to police reports.
