Post the strong U10A Teams

Post by The Bone »

As the regular season winds down, who are some of the better looking U10A Teams that folks have seen or faced?

I'll start with Wayzata - strong & deep
Unbeaten, Untied & Three Tourney Championships

Top 10UA Teams

Post by mitts »

I might need to get a hobby, but I actually follow this group pretty closely (yes, daughter plays) and have played most of these. I can't imagine anybody debating whether Wayzata is #1. This group would round out a Top 10 in my estimation:

1. Wayzata
2. Centennial
3. Minnetonka
4. Lakeville North
5. Lakeville South
6. Chaska
7. Tartan
8. Hastings
9. Woodbury
10. Elk River

Others in the mix: Edina, Roseville, Blaine, Stillwater, OMG, Andover, Duluth

Tartan has a real good 10uA program! it's surprising, their goalie is a first year and she plays as if she's been playing more. They also have girls on their team that can really shoot the puck!

Andover Wins Woodbury Tournament

Post by mitts »

I haven't seen Andover, but they've got my respect by beating two District 8 powerhouses in Hastings and Lakeville South to take the Woodbury Tournament the weekend of Feb 6-8.

Stillwater Takes Stillwater Tournament

Post by mitts »

Stillwater won their own tournament over a VERY strong field the weekend of Feb 6-8. They beat Centennial in the final, after Centennial had knocked out previously undefeated Wayzata in the quarters and a very good Minnetonka team in the semis.

I agree with the Wayzata pick. They are a good. I was at the Stillwater tournament and saw some good teams from Minnetonka, Wayzata, Centennial and Stillwater. Stillwater has a very strong skating team and 3 strong lines with a few players that can really hanld the puck well. I believe I heard they've only lost like 3 games all year, 1 to Wayzata.
