Roseville girls

Chances on going to state and how are they going to get there?
Are they counting on the young goalies?
Do both goalies split playing time in playoff?

Roseville has a very good chance to go to state, but they will most likely have to get by Stillwater or Hill-Murray to do it and that will not be easy. My bet is they don't want to see Stillwater in the final.

If I'm the coach...I'm sticking with the goalie that won vs. Stillwater in the SEC title game. She looked very solid to me. The best I've seen in net for Roseville in recent years...personally. I have not seen their other goalie(s) play however.

Their chances for advancing to the X, as good as anybody else out there...and better than a lot of other teams.

Stating the obvious here but toughest section in state by far so no cakewalk no matter which team comes out. The section is as hard to win as state for any team some may argue...

For Roseville I could see Boss for the first round and then Allen for the semis (and final, if they make it!). I think the big difference has been that Allen had the year of varsity experience coming in, so maybe the coach (and both goalies?) were more comfortable with her playing the 'big' games. Not sure about that but either way the Raiders are in good hands. With their D playing so well it seems like the goalies are only asked to make 1 or 2 'big' saves each game.

I do love your D. What I think is huge is having players like Brausen, Kerr, Capistrant, Logan, Brodt who play both ways that makes Roseville so hard to beat. Not many teams have that many skill players who are willing to back check as hard as trying to put the puck in the net. That is how you win hockey games.

Hey there is a great video on the right side of this page on the Roseville girls with interviews with Captain Bethany Brausen and Coach Vic Brodt. Watching it you see the many reasons they have had such a great tradition of success - they are play loose, have fun, set high standards themselves........looks like a team across the group - sure the cameras were rolling so everyone wants to be at their best but looks like genuine teamwork.

Looking at Juniors I would think Bethany Brausen is very highly recruited for many reasons - she has to be top one of the top forwards in the loaded class of 2010 along with Krisiti King of Stillwater, Corinne Buie of Edina, Gina McDonald of Irondale, Dana Gallop of GRG, Cara Johnson of Hopkins. Kayla Capistrant F, Ali Duelman D and Chelsay Witwiicke D (sp) may also have a great opportunity.

I think one of the reasons Roseville is so good is that they play team hockey 5 in the O zone and 5 in the D zone - that approach makes everyone stand out.

yeah I agree makes a big difference between teams that play as a team and teams that play hot shot hockey

that was the case this year, but i bet you any money next year with brausen leading the crew again that roseville will see the state tournament:) that would be a wonderful sight.

Yes, Roseville should be very tough again but I would not count out Stillwater as they should be solid next year as well. Stillwater is returning goalie, an up and coming defensive core and most of their best forwards. I think Hill-Murray, White Bear Lake and North St. Paul will have a very good chance as well as they return basically their entire lineups.

indeed. but then again stillwater will be losing dahl key loss for them. and yes all of those teams i agree will have a good chance and i think all these teams are on a hunt to get each other cause everyone wants that state experience and everyone of those teams is very capable its the matter of who wants it more.
