Few spots remain on the 1994 CCM Stars

Post by 94 CCM Stars »

The 1994 CCM Stars are looking for 4-5 players for their AAA off season team. The 1994 CCM Stars are a strong group of players that will skate as a tourney team this spring, summer and fall. They have secured berths in both the Independent AAA Classic and the Easton Cup at the invite level.

They will have 2-3 practices, a couple of games, and play in the Independent AAA Classic in the spring. One of their spring games will be vs. 94 Hammarby Nacka, from Sweden, who is coming to the Midwest to play the 94 Chicago Mission, Shattuck Bantam Tier 1 and the 94 CCM Stars.

In the fall they will again have 2-3 practices, a couple of games and then play in the Easton Cup Invite.

They will be sponsored by, and have uniforms from, CCM. The cost is $445. Only top end 94 players need apply.

If interested, contact the 94 CCM Stars as your player is identified for your District’s Advanced 15 process. Send a note with information about your player, or questions, to: ccm94stars@yahoo.com

When do you anticipate that practices will start for this team?

I like the cost and the idea of playing a few invites, a few special games, and not burying the kids in light of Advanced 15s. Hockey has gotten too expensive over the last few years and with Wall Street not liking the bailout plans so far I need a hockey bailout plan! This may be it!

I will contact you if my kid gets asked to tryout for Advanced 15s in his District.

The team will have a practice, and a game with 94 Nacka from Sweden, before the Advanced 15 Tournament, April 23-27. Another practice and game before the AAA Independent Classic May 14-17.

I hope you do well this summer, but are you telling us that a team is coming from Sweden to stop in Chicago and play the Mission, shoot on up to Faribault and take on Shattuck and then hit the Twin Cities for a game against a AAA spring team that nobody has ever heard of?

This is like saying I'm going to a BBQ at Jim's house and, oh by the way, you should go too because GOV Pawlenty and Joe Mauer are stopping by. You don't need to namedrop, put a product on the ice and the players will come.

That's correct. The team has a new sponsor but the players are all top 94s that the 94 crowd is familiar with.

We're still looking for 2-3 players so if there are any top 94 free agents out there send a note to, ccm94stars@yahoo.com, to learn more. We'll likely have a tryout early April for the last spots prior to our game with 94 Nacka on April 10th. A few practices, a couple of games, then the Independent AAA Classic May 14-17.

With several 94 players busy with Advanced 15 this spring, then high school summer skating and workouts, the lighter AAA schedule is attractive.

Spring tournament is the AAA Independent Classic is May 14-17

The team may also play in the International Cup, June 11-14.

The fall schedule will also have a few practices and 2 games prior to the Easton Cup. Abbreviated schedule as the players will be doing their development elsewhere which is often the case at this age as they prepare for high school hockey in the fall.

The cost for joining the team is $445 and will include socks and jerseys.

Please confirm your son will attend the tryout by emailing your player information to,

ccm94stars@yahoo.com

At the tryout most of the time will be spent scrimmaging. There will be a $20 fee for attending the tryout. Any additional questions can also be emailed to the above address.

A couple little updates on the 94 CCM Stars.

All of the players on the team made their Advance 15 teams.
Beat 94 Nacka during their visit to the Metro.

Lost a player to injury during a seeding game so are now short a player for the upcoming AAA Independent Classic, May 14-17. We plan to skate 13 in case your team plans to skate 25. We'll be scouting players at this weekend's Advance 15 Tournament but should you be interested in learning more of the opportunity please email ccm94stars@yahoo.com. Sweet schedule for those planning to make the trip to St. Cloud in June.

What was the score of the NACKA game?

Did NACKA play in a tournament up here? Did they play Shattuck?
