Tri-Metro in sections

Post by dontcallmeshirley »

A strong showing by the tri-metro this year in sections, at least compared to expectations.

The Johnson Governors upset the #1 seed in 4AA, Tartan

Providence Lions upset the #6 seed, Albertville, then took the #3 seed, Mound, to double OT in section 2A

Blake Bears went to overtime with the #2 seed in 2A, Orono, despite the fact that this was supposed to be a down year

In 4A, Minnehaha Academy lost 2-1 to the #2 seed, South St. Paul, and St. Paul Academy lost 4-0 to #3 Mahtomedi in a well-played game for the Spartans (according to reports)

Did anybody else notice this trend? Perhaps this points to a strong year next year for the conference.
