Herb Brooks award
Congratulations to Riley Hirsh {Little Falls} for winning the Herb Brooks
award! Riley is a hard working player on the ice and a very good person of the ice. It was a pleasure watching him during his career as a Flyer.
Congrats Riley, good luck with your future.

Re: Herb Brooks award
Ditto, I had the pleasure of attending Little Falls high school with him as well, he is a great person on and off the ice.Bigfan wrote:Congratulations to Riley Hirsh {Little Falls} for winning the Herb Brooks

Actually each coach of a team in the tournament nominates a player from their team they think deserves the award and a little essay is written about the player and then the Brooks foundation and Brooks family chooses who they think best represents what Herb Books stood for so it has nothing to do with the media. The all-tournament team is chosen by the media and they have to turn in their ballets by the end of the 1st period of the championship game.

of course it's a great choice in your eyes, anything little falls is just aces in your book. it's a nice award to get, i don't know the kid but i assume he is very deserving just like any other candidate nominated by the coach is. congratsbluelineenvy wrote:Congrats Riley! What a great choice!!

I agree, & I do drink to much purple kool-aid. Any idea who SCC's nominee was?SCC2009 wrote:of course it's a great choice in your eyes, anything little falls is just aces in your book. it's a nice award to get, i don't know the kid but i assume he is very deserving just like any other candidate nominated by the coach is. congratsbluelineenvy wrote:Congrats Riley!
