Hate to say it but
Lechner at Hill
The guy made the tough decision and still managed to get his team to through into states with basically one gun. If that doesn't constitute a great effort by a Coach, I don't know what does. Zepeda carried that team on his back. All the Hill faithful, who is replacing this kid in the next few years???

Not that Smith is not deserving, though. It's nice to see him succeed, especially since he'd taken a bit of heat on the bored prior to this year.
Some others who probably deserve recognition are Morinville at Moorhead and O'Neill at CDH; both their teams exceeded expectations at state.
