Open Tryouts Friday for Twin Ports Prep!!!

Post by Mr Hockey »

If you think you have what it takes to play in a high level league, register at www.northlandhockeygroup.com for the Twin Ports Prep High School League. The league has a virtual Who's Who of talent of players Juniors or younger. Top Players from many different conferences have registered so far!!!

The tryouts are this Friday at 5:30 and 6:45pm at Mars Arena in Duluth. It is preferred that you register online. Players that do not get selected for the Tier I level will be placed on a Tier II team that will have many of the top JV players and A Bantam players on it. There will be about 30 spots available to fill the teams.

The Tier I practices will be this Sunday and the Tier II practices will be Sunday the 29th. More info is available at info@northlandhockeygroup.com

Cost is quite low from what I understand. Just another opportunity for kids to play some competitive hockey in the spring much like the Showcase leagues run out of the Super Rink in Blaine. Nothing more, nothing less.

Not that hard on the checkbook for what you get

My kid registered.
For a couple of practices, 8 games with and against good players, and a possible playoff, the cost is reasonable, actually not bad at all.
Many of the top kids from the twin ports, range, nw wi, and even I35 no.burbs will be playing. Games are mostly on Sun. and Mon. nights.
It will be competitive and fun for the kids. It is not being promoted as a plaform for exposure, but with notable players involved, that may unintentionally happen.

Didn't see them but heard they were fast paced and competitive. Watched a practice today and was impressed with the coaches and with some of the players. Should be a fun league for the kids to keep skating this spring.
