The registration rules would have to be re-written, yes we differ from USA Hockey but by birthday only. To change to grade level rules would have to be changed at USA Hockey also. A younger aged player by USA/Mn Hockey can play up it is the local association that controls that issue and then must fir the 2/3 rds guideline. An older player to play down has to have a doctors reason and must follow very strict guidelines.
If enough people attend it will get their attention whether they will listen is how you present yourself.
19 days to meeting.
It is nice to see someone encouraging the members of MN Hockey to attend their quarterly meeting.
When they arrive what do you recommend them to do?
When should they arrive?
What is the best way for them to get their ideas discussed?
Is their some members of the board that they should avoid? Or may see the members attending as a distraction or nuisance?
thank you in advance:

It would be best to be there before the start of a committee session and wait until all have taken their seats and find an open chair. Be respectful and during the committee meetings if you have a question raise your hand and wait to be recognized. There are a number of breaks on Friday night and Saturday and the board members usually are willing to chat but remember and I can not stress this enough be polite. I would look up Elliott 70 as he should be there.
On Sunday be there before the meeting starts there are usually enough chairs around the main tables, this meeting is more formal and again be polite and respectful.
If you get a chance take time to chat with Wally Odell and John Carter they are now non-voting members but have been with Mn Hockey for many years and have a lot of knowledge to share and I consider them along with many others there my friends. If you attend please pvt message me and tell me your thoughts on the weekend.

Greybeard,
I have commitments for both Saturday and Sunday that affect my attendance at the meeting. I could come on Friday night. Would it be beneficial? I'm just interested in seeing how things are done. Timing is everything and mine is not good.
I am curious about what is to be discussed and am patiently waiting for an agenda to be posted (along with everyone else).

Did MN Hockey take up the topic of Redistricting
Did MN Hockey take up the topic of Redistricting on Saturday or did the fiasco that they created namely participation/residency swamp them for the entire weekend?

Re: Did MN Hockey take up the topic of Redistricting
District directors discussed it briefly.mnhockeywatch wrote:Did MN Hockey take up the topic of Redistricting on Saturday or did the fiasco that they created namely participation/residency swamp them for the entire weekend?
Discernent committee stearing committee was redisgned to approach this topic this fall.
Paricipation rule was discussed at length.
Prsident Green will be issuing a letter providing guidance as to what action the Board will be taking at the winter meeting regarding residency/participation.
