Does anyone have any information on teams at the U10 and U12 level and maybe some predictions.

I thought it was a fun weekend. Our girls got to play some real good competition, hung in good against most of it (those Jr. Gophers are pretty good), and had fun. Well run, well-officiated, lots of perks for the kids.
If they could just move that facility down to the Southern Suburbs, it'd be great... Those 5 trips up and back are tough.

I thought the tournament was well run and they did a nice job of seting the divisions but I have to admit there are still a few to many mis matches. I think with some of the top MN and candian U12 (96-97 birth years) teams playing up to U14 you have some teams playing each other that probably shouldn't be. Not sure how much anyone gets out of 10+ to zero scores and we saw a few of those up on the board. Maybe a couple of the teams should be pushed up to U14 for the rest of the season.
After watching the U12 championship game I have to say U12 is way to early to run a short bench, having kids drive all the way to Minnesota then sitting your third line for all but 2 shifts in a game. I don't care how big the trophy is, its U12. At U12 the kids should be pretty much running out in order even on special teams.
