They are the 2000 Machine. They played as the Fusion this weekend down in Lakeville. They beat the 99 Edge team.

Don't they want to be known as the Machine anymore? Why the name change? I've heard kids are bailing out of MM faster than a fat man in a leaky row boat throwing up orange Koolaide while trying to grab life perservers with a big "V" on them, but what gives with the team name?

THE FUSION! Isn't this a NEW DANCE craze...it will be taking us back to the next DISCO era. Here they are going to hang the spinning disco balls at the rinks at MM.

Snowball dance between periods of games - just like the old roller rinks. It should be fun!

The team I saw had players from a number of different 00' teams. Though the orange was the most represented. I didn't see any shirts and ties though, maybe a disco ball is next. OH the horror.

Maybe the suits and ties were at the cleaners!!
Love the disco ball idea - if MM is really hurting for money like rumors have it, they could rent out sheets of ice for disco ice dancing and hang the disco ball and add strobe lights! Could be a new hot craze for our skate-loving MN teenagers who never have a place to hang out!! Bernie could teach ice dancing for the big Friday night disco parties! They could even serve Koolaide. If you charge $10/skater and have 50 skaters, he'd get out of hock in no time. He wouldn't even have the expense of referees or time keepers - just a DJ. The ice dancing classes could take place M-Th nights and he could take registration by age level and commitment level. Monday nights for 12 year old machines who only want to ice dance on Friday nights and will commit to coming every week for an entire year, Tuesdays for the "Duece dancers" who will work hard but not quite as hard as the Monday nite crew and may miss a Friday for a friend's birthday party, ...

As I am new to the forum, I have to ask......why the hate on for the Minnesota Made program?
Obviously there are people out there that like the program and have stuck with it. Obviously people know what the program is about BEFORE they sign their child up. Obviously there are peoples kids who aren't INVITED or are CUT and they are unhappy about it.
If you don't beleive in what they do, so be it. Obviously alot of people do! What makes your opinions on the program the right ones?
Jus askin.

Sorry to offend. Simply for our simple minded entertainment and all in good fun. Not much hockey going on right now so we have to create amusement. Lame I know. Can only trek up to New Hope so often to watch good hockey and the Wild is still in pre-season. Guilty as charged.
Missed you hockeydad41! 8)
