Both teams undefeated in Lake Conference play, Eagan's only loss to the Women's national team.

Anyone seen these two teams play? Does Eagan have a shot to stay undefeated against boys this season?

I would doubt it. I haven't seen Eagan play, but the way the Jags have been playing lately this is likely headed for running time.

Many of you are going big with Baby Blues. I will say BJ 4-3 it will be closer then you think wouldn't even rule out the Wildcats in the end.

Eagan 4
Jefferson 3
Final OT
Good call young blood, I was completely wrong. Eagan plays well defensively and didn't give Jefferson any good shots. The Jags took alot of dumb penalties that in the end costed them the game. I underestimated Eagan but I hope Jefferson will learn from this.

Eagan was leading 3-1 with 12 minutes left in the 3rd. Jefferson tied it up on a shorthanded goal with 2 minutes to go. Eagan won in overtime.

Eagan has alot of young talent on this team, to name a few..Michael Zajac, the Kuchera brothers and Eli May all Sophs. They are going to be real contender in section 3 for next 3 years.

youngblood - you called it! Congrats to Eagan. Jeffereson's light schedule is going to hurt them again this year. Also some of Jefferson's better players play dirty and if the refs are watching, they get caught and it hurts them. Good game.

Youngblood was wrong with the score but very very accurate with the pre-game analysis.

Don't have the exact numbers but the jags haven't lost a game on BIG 1 for 2 seasons. Long streak ended last night.

I gave BJ the 4-3 win for being at home. Eagan has a good shot st the section 3AA spot.

Of the 14 Eagan skaters that saw regular ice time last night, 7 were sophomores.

Yes they are going to sneek up on some teams this year. Going into the season I thought they were a year away from contending because they are so young but maybe not. We will see how they handle success, its as important as how teams handle tough times. Off to a good start though.

not a good effort from Jefferson. You should never lose at BIG 1 to a bunch of sophomores.

I was there cheering for the Jags and my goodness it was sloppy. Bad calls by the refs but also stupid plays by the Jags. That combo never helps teams out. If they play like that against a REALLY good team...it'd be awful.

I feel bad for Eastview, though. I have a feeling Jefferson is going to let loose some anger on them.

I think the Eastview goalie will handle whatever Jeff. throws at him

We will see, if I remember correctly last year when these two teams played O'Shea was pulled in the 2nd period after giving up about 8 goals.
