I just love how everyone wrote brainerd off against fargo south then again against rochester century. But I gotta go with brainerd the way Reid mimmack for brainerd is playing right now Marshall doesn't stand a chance, and if matt pohlkamp can keep scoring too I pick brainerd 4-1 final. brainerd came from the hard side of the bracket and I believe they've already beat the two teams that actually coulda gave them trouble in this tournament

10-0 Brainerd. JM is lucky they were in the bottom half of the bracket, if they were in the top they would likely be in the toilet bowl

I didn't write Brainerd off, it's just Fargo South has been very good in this tournament and it's hard to pick against them based on that. Brainerd has a very good goalie and played very well against Century, I didn't think Century was going to be shut out by anyone this year, not that Century is all that great, they're not, but their top line is, I thought, good enough to score at least 1 every game and among the top lines in the state. Seeing their top line sucking wind 6 minutes into the first period was something that almost never happens to a Century team especially since they had an easy win the day before. Brainerd was the better team yesterday and they were against South as well. I gave Century and South more credit than they probably deserve. At best picking games in a tournament like this where the teams are spread out and have zero common opponents is a guess. I guessed wrong, Brainerd is a good club and should they win the tournament it will well deserved as they did beat 2-3 pretty good clubs and were impressive in doing it. Good luck to them tonight and the rest of the season.

It's good for JM to get this far and have something positive happen, it's been a long time coming for the school. They'll have to play their best game of the year to beat Brainerd and still need some good bounces though.

Not even close

Brainerd 7
JM 1

Great tourney for the Warriors. Let's hope they can carry this momentum into the rest of the season.

I will be the first to admit that I thought Fargo South would win against Brainers, though I thought there was a possible chance for Brainerd....
Guess I was wrong....
