Edina PeeWee B

Post by ilike2score »

I am curious how the Edina PeeWee B 1 teams Green and White would fare against the other approximately 103 PeeWee A teams in the state? I am suggesting that either Edina PeeWee B 1 teams would easily beat at least Seventy of the PeeWee A teams in the state.

And they should....
They have 12 Peewee teams, which is larger than a lot of smaller Associations...
But then again they tried going with 2 “A” teams at Squirts last year, but I think the 2nd (not Equal) Squirt Team Struggled
Edina A PW (32-4-1) GF-257 GA-75....

Their B1 teams would struggle like their A1 squirt team did last year against A talent. If you are going to make two A teams wich they should they should have been equal.

Maybe another way to look at it , what about 3 Equal B1 teams. I'm certain the talent pool doesnt drop off a mountain that far after players 16-45.

Either Edina PWB1 team would be competitive with PWA teams except the top 15. If they had an A2 team, they would be in the top 10. Osseo Maple Grove and Wayzata could have top 20 PWA2 teams.

have to call you on that one.. The A2 squirt team was overmatched last year and that would be the case with an a2 peewee team.. if they split even they both in my opinion would be top 20 but you wouldn't be able to be top 10 teams. That is why they will never do it.

Would the top 6 or 7 from the White team and the top 6 or 7 from the Green team not want to play A hockey as an A2? Would they finish middle of the pack in D6? Could they be in the finals of 3 or 4 tourneys? Would that be good or bad for those kids? Would that be good or bad for the bantam program?

Obviously this is a different group of kids. A number of kids on last years Squirt A1 team did not even make PW B1. If you took top 7 or 8 off each team they would be very close to top 10.

i am the older brother of one of the players on edina peewee b1 white team and i would like to say that he hates that he is playing b1 and wishes he could play kids that are his level at peewee A. last year edina purposely did two a teams at the squirts for two reasons. one, they knew that if they lost their reputation would not be hurt. two, they basically knew they were gonna lose but they did it to shut up the parents who always complain about not having two A teams. the problem is that the kids who had dominated squirts the previous year were already up in peewees, in other words they put two A teams at the wrong level. fyi my bro played peewee b1 last year too. now some of this is my opinion but if u know edina people like i do u would realize that this makes perfect sense, and many parents in edina know it and talk about it all the time. as far as how their A2 team would do, my guess is they would be top 20 probably around 18 17 or 16. this is from what i have seen these kids can do.

The Edina A2 team that struggled was playing a very tough schedule. Not to mention last year's Squirts does not have the depth of this year's Pee Wee crop.

Edina would certainly beat lots of A teams. The question was how many.

Are you aware of how many board members they have?

I don't think a person voting for their own interest has much impact.
