Board Outage Feb 9 PM
There was a database error that required SQL access to the host to fix.
Sorry it took so long. Hopefully, there will be no further problems.

We're back
I missed you all. Last night was a rough game night without the board, so I went to a game. Nice game by Hill-Murray at Tartan - a 4-0 win. Solid effort by the Pioneers on offense, defense & goaltending.

It was down too long. Five minutes without it during hockey season is too long.east hockey wrote:As do I. How long was this thing down for, 36 hours?wbmd wrote:Hope it stays that way.east hockey wrote:It appears that the "further problems" have now been resolved.
Back in business!

Sure gave The Lessers a good laugh, however.

Were a bunch of posts wiped out? I had a response written up for the discussion on the "single-class, 16 team tourney" thread and when I went to post it, all the posts that had gone up since the thread was revived disappeared.
At any rate, it's good to be back up and running. Thanks to Lee, Mitch, and all the friendly men in Bangalore, India who control the internet for their efforts. Let's hope the problem is resloved this time...

That is possible. I think if they had to do a restore back to a certain point, it might have taken out the posts made in the interim. I don't have access to my email right now so haven't checked to see if Mitch wrote me this morning with the ugly details. Last I knew, they were working on it yesterday afternoon and hoped to have it up by the evening. Obviously, that goal was missed by several hours.karl(east) wrote:Were a bunch of posts wiped out? Would love to see how they adapt the 12 Steps to their program.Goldfishdude wrote:Whew!!!! I am glad those posts all got wiped out, because there was one that said I was willing to contribute $50K to fix the server..... Now, there's no proof!!
I had to go to Hockey Boards Anonymous for the withdrawals I was having...
Nice to see your smiling names again!!!

I think that would be the 12 Skates. . . and the first is I know I have a problem with the refs and I am unable to control it. . . .

The refs portion of the 12 Skates program is generally #1, but I had to change mine to the bitterness towards coaches.woodley wrote:east hockey wrote:Would love to see how they adapt the 12 Steps to their program.Goldfishdude wrote:Whew!!!! I have been stuck on Step 3..
1) Thou shall not bash coaches
2) Thou shall not bash refs
3) Thou shall not be "creepy" when attending games
4) Thou shall not crash the forum server
5) Thou shall not bash private schools
6) Thou shall not bash long-haired hockey players that play weak schedules and rack up lots of points - boys or girls
7) Thou shall not throw personal attacks towards other users
8. ) Thou shall not laugh at my own jokes, or You Tube videos I post
9) Thou shall noy quote Hockeyhub.com for accurate stats
10) Thou shall not pretend to act like I know what I am talking about, when I don't have a clue, since I can't even stand up on skates.
11) Thou shall try to refrain from making posts on the forum from 3 a.m.-6 a.m.
12) ??????????

It would seem that we lost the posts made after about midnight on Tuesday night up to whatever time the server crashed on Wednesday.
May the new server live long and prosper.
I think this is unrelated, but.... If anyone out there has a Windows XP system that crashed yesterday and won't boot at all, you probably have a Microsoft Automatic Update to blame...unbelievable!

I have Vista on my main PC and after getting used to it, I kind of like it. I know it's a memory hog ect but it works pretty good.
