Benilde vs Hopkins - Meyer vs the Fons
This will probably be the only close game in the 6AA quarterfinal... Who wins it and why?

unassisted........... breakaway....... pokes the puck from the d-man at center ice..... dekes left, goes right...... drags puck back left and tucks behind Fonz, who is doing the splits.Trojanhorse wrote:Please be more specific. You did not predict who would assist the goal.Goldfishdude wrote:Benilde 1-0.... Goal by the Grant Besse 3:00 in the first, and it's a goaltender delight the rest of the way. Shots will be 28-27 BSM..

3rd period
Can someone explain to me how bsm rattled off 32 shots in the 3rd period alone?
Fons made 52 stops on 58 shots.
C'mon Hopkins. You had them...

Re: 3rd period
Someone Twittered Fons was unbelievable, and I thought, "How? He's given up 4 goals."... The game sheet from hockey hub confirms.blueblood wrote:Can someone explain to me how bsm rattled off 32 shots in the 3rd period alone?![]()

To think that there were almost 2 shots a minutes is nuts.. I don't know if I have seen 30 shots a period before...
Congrats, Fons. Sorry you lost... but, congrats...

Re: 3rd period
I was thinking the same thing...certainly haven't seen it in a game that was actually competitive.Goldfishdude wrote: To think that there were almost 2 shots a minutes is nuts.. I don't know if I have seen 30 shots a period before...
Props to Fons, but as for the rest of the Hopkins team in that 3rd period...yikes.
