Scam,

Pay them $100 per year for a subscription so that you can read how they pump your kid for "scouts".

Pay them another $100 and they will PR your kid and get them in front of scouts.

Some of the better players do get on there, but there is a lot of trash players on there who paid their $100.

If you want to see your kid written up as a USHL prospect.......shell out the Franklins.

Boycott the Scouting News

Post by Benford »

They ask kids and parents to write stories about themselves. Kids email them the stories and the publish them on their web site, but they charge parents (and kids) $200 to read the articles on their site. So basically, you're just paying to see stuff you or your kid wrote. Some times they'll get a snippet or two about a player through the grapevine, but they try to pass it off like they're some legitimate scouting service and they are not. Not only are they not legitimate, they actually try to blacklist kids and parents if there's ever a disagreement or even a question about something they write. Instead of working out the issue with the adults, they take it out on the kids too believe it or not. There's a whole boycott dedicated to them, Boycott The Scouting News.
