Did I read that there is a $25 tryout fee? Isn't that kind of high?

Don't do this program. It's not very good. Go to the Wolfpack tryouts!!!. The Wolfpack is much better.

Funny thing, there was a rather heavy set Mom in the stands when the 99 STE was playing the Machine. I think the score was like 23 to nothing in favor of the orange boys. I have to say I have never heard so many four letter words come out a womans mouth.
She was so tipped over that she whipped at pack of cigarettes at one of the Machine parents.

Light them if you got them.

The price is so high because this isn't a very good program and Terry needs to make his cash someway?

Wolfy, I'll take Hughes' program over yours (which by your admission is a figment of your imagination) and any other program in the Northeast suburbs any day of the week. Kids actually have fun, improve, and can play a summer sport on a STE team. Terry Hughes doesn't play head games with parents or kids.

Wolfy, you can continue to wear your custom made "Machine" parent jacket to every rink in the land. The '99 Machine team will not implode because of anything Terry Hughes does or doesn't do (or the fat lady singing in the stands--your wife or mom, perhaps?) Instead, the future of the '99 Machine will depend on Bernie, not Terry.

For those of us who have kids who skate with STE, it's a great program. Hughes listens to parents' concerns and reassigns coaches when it makes sense to do so.The '99 STE team will have a new coach who played Division - hockey. If you have an '02, Chris MacAlpine is going to coach those young tykes. We've been around the block with the different AAA programs in the Metro area and, if your kid isn't a Machine or a Blade type of skater, but you want good hockey development at a reasonable cost, STE and Terry Hughes are a good option, notwithstanding the garbage spewed by competitors--real or imaginary.
