Wayzata-Maple Grove-Edina-Buffalo in The Turkey Trot Tourney

Post by GOPHERFAN119 »

Some good early season games kicking off this weekend at the Turkey Trot tourney at the PIC this weekend.

Friday:
Edina vs Buffalo
Wayzata vs Maple Grove

Saturday:
Winners of Rd 1 face each other on Sat night.

It could be an early season match up of #1 vs #2.

What are you trying to say FF? Isn't it a little early for jacking the jaw and sarcasm....

Wow, Edina found something in the end. I left right after Wayzata scored their third goal. I thought Wayzata looked real good. Anyone know how many players were on the football team?

I was getting up to leave shortly following Wayzata's third goal and then I sat back down when Edina netted one. It looked like Wayzata just relaxed a little too much at the end. Great game though. Edina had too many scoring chances that they did not finish. Wayzata ran a simple but effective powerplay.

Wayzata dominated for two periods. Much faster and better with the puck. PP was a lesson in keep away. Edina had too many dumb penalties. Too worried about hitting and not enough about playing. Hits usually led to odd man rush or trip to box. Edina turned it on in the end to make it very interesting. Edina goalie kept it close.

Wayzata deserves the top ranking.
