Post by mnhockeynemn »

Former Bronco and Head Coach Tony Couture's Little Falls Flyers come to his hometown to play the Int'l Falls Broncos @ Bronco Arena on Saturday 12/4. Little Falls also takes on state ranked Virginia/MIB Friday Night 12/3. Last Years contest between the two teams went to the Broncos.

Any Predictions???

home opener for the broncos. The broncos have a young team that is going to be a sec 7 contender at the end of the year.

Anyone know much about the Flyers this year? They just crushed a top 15 preseason team IN Hibbing...

Its odd that you saw that because on the roster I think they only have a couple guys over 6 feet tall and one of those is the backup goalie.

Yeah Joey Hanowski is a load at 203. Other than that they have three other skaters in the 170 to 190 pound range. The rest are 140-170 with most in the 150s.

I am hoping 4-3 Broncos, but I am thinking 6-1 for Tony's team.

That would be a great win for them, but they really have to work hard for it, and their defense has got to be solid. After Virginia defeated Little Falls 4-1 tonight does this show anything promising for the broncos??

Welcome home Coach Couture...What was it 14 penalties to 2.
I checked the box score on Hockey Hub but I Falls must have been
to embarrassed to post the penalties.

Interesting, from what I heard from people at the game, the penalties went both ways including a late one in the third that resulted in a Little Falls powerplay goal..

International Falls vs Little Falls

Post by Bauer 2113 »

International Falls Broncos out payed the Little Falls Flyers all game...shots were well in favor of the Broncos. The Broncos should of easily won this game. They had good puck control and good positioning. Little Falls took way too many penalties. Goalie Glen Walls, Mason Meyer with the Falls 2 goals, and Erik Lassila played excellent for the Broncos. The Broncos will be better later into the season when they get back two key players Christian Kittelson (F) and Brandon Richards (D). The Broncos have a young team but they are are very talented and will go far this season.

from what i heard the officiating was heavily favored towards I falls. i mean 14-2? you have to be looking for one team if they are THAT lopsided

Little Falls/IFalls

actually the refs missed a big time kneeing on a Little Falls player, that player got hurt,I don't think he will be kneeing anyone in the future!!!!All the penalties were deserved, Little Falls has a few discipline problems that they will correct, I expect them to be the team to beat in their section. Also, their goalie played excellent .

By looking at the box score, yes. But by physically being at the game, looking at the talent on each side, and taking in the fact that the penalties were that lopsided, no. You better outshoot a team and win when the penalty's are so lopsided. Bad game and tie for Little Falls, even worse game and Tie for The Broncos....
