Warroad vs. Orono 12/4
Tough matchup between the northern boys and the city boys. It'll be interesting to see where each team is at skill-wise.

Orono is looking pretty solid, but their starting goalie is out for their first two games (Friday @ Lake of the Woods and Saturday @ Warroad). If their goalie plays a good game and their defenseman play solid, their forwards should create plenty of offense.wblhockeyfan8 wrote:Warroad 6-1, this is a wild guess. How is Orono looking this year?

Looks like a lot of guys getting their feet wet to start the season, they will go through some growing pains in the beginning but should still be in the hunt when it comes down to the wire. They always find a way to win!WarroadWarrior wrote:We could barely beat Mound Westonka. its going to be a rough year for the boys from 690....

Hard to say they looked good when they got whooped 9-2. I thought it was gonna be a close one because I've been hearing people talk about how good Orono's gonna be this year...I thought their top guy was supposed to be the real deal...?hockeyfan1022 wrote:apparently orono looked pretty good and tied it up 2-2 and then their temporary goalie playing for their suspended starter let in some easy ones and they lost their confidence.
