I'll grudgingly tell you all about it considering I played in it. Both myself and the other Woodbury goalie who shall remain anonymous (even though he's better than me) almost always let in a soft goal early on in a game and this game was no exception. 16 seconds into the game a Hastings wrist shot beat me far side as I did not have the angle covered very well. It was 100% my fault. Later in the 1st period we scored but I don't remember how. Towards the end of the 1st period Hastings scored again on a PLEASE BAN ME call by the ref. I made the initial save, then a guy from Hastings crashed into me while I was down driving me back causing the net to be knocked off. The rebound came out and was shot in but the net was already off a good foot at least but the ****ing ref called it a goal. Lots of shoving and tempers flaring throughout the 1st period. Later in the 2nd period, the only shot I got the whole period, was a one-timer from a good pass and I didn't get over in time. With about 3 min left in the 3rd period I skated to the bench on a delayed penalty and a point shot from one of our defencemen went in. With 1 min and 2 seconds left on the game clock, us on the powerplay and me pulled for the extra skater, a 6 on 4, the ice time ran out and that's how the game ended. I'm pissed at how I played and the fact that we lost but to be honest I'm a little glad too. Our team was getting a little cocky and with this loss we realize we have to come to play every game and that we're not invincible. I guess what I'm saying is that if we had to lose better it be now than in the District playoffs or the state tournament. Hats off to Hastings though they played a really good game. A really annoying thing though is that Hastings had like four times the fans we had even though it was at Woodbury and they were cheering the whole freakin game on every play.Mr. Fruity wrote:Dang, sounds like a good game. anyone got analysis of the game? what were the shots?freighttrain wrote:Hastings-3
