Since everyone has played different amounts of games it is easiest to take the total points divided by the amount of games played to see where teams stand in terms of points per game. It looks like seeds 4-12 are completely up in the air.

JGA Standings
Since there are only 15 teams this year, all will make playoffs. JGA Regionals are double elimination pool play with the following format:
Pool 1
1st place vs. winner of 12th vs. 13th place
6th place vs. 7th place
Above winners play for M1 seed
Loser plays for M6 seed
Pool 2
2nd place vs. winner of 11th vs. 14th place
5th place vs. 8th place
Above winners play for M2 seed
Loser plays for M5 seed
Pool 3
3rd place vs. winner of 10th vs. 15th place
4th place vs. 9th place
Winners play for M3 seed
Loser plays for M4 seed
So, the top 9 teams from league play get a bye to double elimination round. If you finish 10th through 15th, you must win your first game to advance to double elimination round.
If you win your first two (or three for the lower seeded teams) you will be seeded as M1, M2 or M3 for state.
The remaining three seeds must win in cross-over games to earn seeds M4, M5 and M6.
2 of 3 northern teams will also be at state: Duluth, Grand Rapids or Moorhead.
FYI-the past 2 years has not been kind to the #4 seed (WBL in 2009 and Tonka in 2010).

Re: JGA Standings
Great info, thanks Blue. Any idea where the JGA regional playoffs will be played? I know the State Tourney is in Duluth.blueblood wrote:Since there are only 15 teams this year, all will make playoffs. JGA Regionals are double elimination pool play with the following format:
