Benilde over Totino

Post by F14 »

I was at the REC Center as the BSM kids came back, heard it was a 9-2 win. Details please. I heard there JV won convincly as well.

Totino has a good team, This must be the last year for Benilde in the North Suburban. Totino was the one team to challenge them consistently.

sometimes your record doesn't indicate who or what you are. T.G. has a rediculously easy schedule until today. Over the next several games, I predict they will be exposed for who they really are. Its sad that the #7 AA school can beat the #5 A school 9 -2 Whats up with that?

Remember when T.G. used to only lose to good schools by just a few goals. Seems like T.G. is going south over the past years. I can't really think of many quality wins recently.

Soon to play, Edina, Breck, ... in the next week! #5 T.G. could give up more goals in one week than they used to give up in nearly half a season!?? Whats up T.G.?

My guess is they lack high end talent?

Reality is coming soon, having a easy schedule early on is really deceiving how this team can actually compete. High end talent? Not really consider where these players played in Association hockey and take it from there. Totino not even comparable at all with the Benilde, Hill Murray etc. based on where the players played there Association hockey. Maybe not the best guideline, but something to ponder

This was a blow out as soon as the puck hit the ice. Totino does not have the speed or skill to hang with the Red Knights. I bet the overall shots were 50-15 but the game was @ Totino so they gave them a cushion. BSM rolled 4 lines the whole way or else the score would have been much worse.

A nice record can be very deceiving. Look at a team like Spring Lake Park last year, 13-0 to start I believe but 5-6-1 after? Totino has had the easy part of their schedule and are in for a rude awakening. Class A is far weaker than it was a year ago and Totino has been fortunate to stay high in the rankings. Curious to see how they'll stack up against St Thomas Academy, who are the clear favorites for A.
