Section 5AA Finals Preview
Friday March 4th, 6pm State Fairgrounds
#2 Blaine Bengals (19-4-4)
vs.
#1 Maple Grove Crimson (22-3-2)
Previous Match ups earlier this year:
12-9-10
Blaine 2
Maple grove 2
Final
Shots on goal: MG-40 Blaine-12
the Crimson scored with 7 seconds to force OT.
Nick Malvin was incredible in this game for Blaine.
---------------------------------------------------------
1-27-11
MG 4
Blaine 2
Final
Shots on goal: MG-30 Blaine-25
Blaine played alot better in this game and this is the team I expect to see Friday.
Tyler Dunagan had 5 pts in the 2 games againts Blaine for MG
Drew Mezzano scored a goal in each game for Blaine.
Both teams bring very good goaltending so I expect a low scoring game.
Can Jonny Brodzinski take the game over like Bjugstad did last year?
will Maple Grove get off to a better start then they did in the Semi's?
Can Blaine limit the turnovers in there own zone?
how will this game be called, tight, or will they let the boys play?
These are the key questions to the game in my mind.
Prediction: MG-3 Blaine-1
Should be a doozie either way!
enjoy the game and dont forget to stay and watch the section 4AA Final: White Bear vs. Hill Murry. what a friday of championship Hockey!

MapleGroveCrimson#1......Thanks for the updates for NWSC/Section 5AA this year. You did a great job especially being non-discriminatory towards any one team. If, by chance Blaine beats MG (I don't think this will happen) on Friday, next year will be payback as MG will be the powerhouse of NWSC. Good luck to both teams!Maple Grove Crimson#1 wrote:Friday March 4th, 6pm State Fairgrounds

Just wanted to say thanks for all the work you did updating us on all the NWSC games and the 5AA Section as well.
Should be a great game tonight that's for sure. Can't make the game tonight so if possible please keep the "Playoff Games for Friday, March 4, 2011" thread updated.
Lets just hope this them is ready to play at the drop of the puck this time...
I have the Crimson winning this game tonight and have the same prediction as you: Crimson 3 the Bengals 1

Awesome game, Malvin is the reason Blaine won. That breakaway where he stacked the pads was amazing, congrats and good luck at state Bengals!Maple Grove Crimson#1 wrote:Congratulations to the Blaine Bengals on there 6th straight section 5AA title.
This was a great game! I really thought this was the Crimsons year, they gave it there all and had a great season. Nick Melvin was simply amazing tonight.
