Blades Hockey

Post by OVboy11 »

Here are a list of some of the kids that didn't make the elite league and played with the blades this fall:

Matt Kroska (STA) F: 25G 24A 49P
Scott Nelson (Eastview) F: 24G 24A 48P
David Rath (EP) F: 20G 26A 46P
Tyler Dunagan (Maple Grove) F: 22G 21A 43P
Brandon Reinholz (St. Cloud Tech) F: 19G 23A 42P
Mitch Hall (St. Cloud Tech) F/D: 16G 22A 38P
Mark Rath (EP) F: 16G 17A 33P
Marc Richards (Wayzata) D: 9G 23A 32P
Max Smith (Eastview) F: 13G 18A 31P
Connor Ryan (Minnetonka) F: 13G 10A 23P
Blake Dochniak (Stillwater) F: 11G 11A 22P
Jake Flynn (Centennial) D: 6G 16A 22P

Blades seem to be able to field a good hockey team even with the elite league.

Looks like a very solid team with some good cities players. Do the Blades look for just cities kids or do they take players from northern cities like Duluth or Roseau?

That's what i was thinking I just wasn't positive. Just shows the depth and talent in the state.

I am one of the Blades directors. As you might expect, we are proud of the accomplishments of our U18 team members this high school season. Good luck in the State Tournament boys.

The Blades Project Prep has teams at U18, U16 and U14 levels, for players not playing in the Elite League or EDL. We play three tournaments in the Midwest. It is a chance for these players to play high-caliber competition and be seen by schools and junior teams that might otherwise overlook them.

We welcome players from all over this Great State. Just to be clear, the Blades and Northern Wings are not affiliated. The Blades have in the past occasionally fielded a separate Northern Blades team when the opportunity is there.

So there is just 1 Blades team in the state and players from any where in the state are welcome to tryout?

I believe he meant sometimes they field two teams at a specific high school level. One of northern Minnesota players and one of metro
