They played lakeville north, they shoulda looked good.AlterEagle wrote:Strong D.... but their offense seemed unpolished (perhaps state tourney jitters).
I watched all the games today and EP seemed to me to look the best of everyone. Crisp passing, great offense, great D. Should be a great game tomorrow night!
It's not the Best players, it's the Right players! HB

I agree with you Zamman contrary to HappyGilmore's smart comment. As good as their 1 line is hyped to be I was not impressed either. Couple nice individual players (24 nice player) but not a sharp puck moving team offensively. Big and cover very well defensively, play their system well and eliminate second chances nad try capitalize on your turn overs, high school version of Lemaire's Wild teams. If your EP you need to regroup the puck a lot to try get them chasing and out of that trap. Short passes and close puck support and crash net hard. Go EP!!!HappyHockeyFan wrote:Then your either in denial or you dont know S**t about hockey, Eagan was VERY impressive tonight.Zamman wrote:Sorry EP will walk all over Eagan. I was not impressed.

If you are gonna play that game I can pull out a scenario that makes Windom Area the top ranked team in the state. I don't care if Lakeville North beat Eagan in 5 times this season. The State Tournament is a different story, and if the Eagan team from last night plays the Eden Prairie team from last night, we will be watching a great game.hockey83 wrote:Eagan Lost to Lakeville North. EP outshot Eagan 36-18 in that loss. Look for EP to win tonight.
Never in denial. I am a man, we don't do that!!
I was there all day.
First let's congratulate Eagan, they won. But they played the team that should be in 1A, not 1AA. Props to LN, they got there, but they were not passing or even getting good shots. Looked lost at times.
EP was rushing the puck, passing well, skating extremely hard and crashing the net. Although Eagan beat EP, Dec 22, the teams are a lot different. Eagan will need to stay out of the box and have their goalie stand on his head.
I agree, Eagan could pull the upset but I do not see it this year.

This game will come down to which team dictates the style of play. If Eagan can play their grinding physical style they'll give EP all they can handle. If it turns into a track meet I like EP. One other big factor will be how much the officials allow. Eagan likes to push the envelope physically and last night the zebras "let them play", if its called tightly I think it will work in favor of EP as well. In either case this Eagan team has been good at every level on the way up, most people familiar with this age group will tell you the potential has always been there.

I was surprised, considering how physical the game was, that only one penalty was called. Yeah, they let them play. Pretty clean hitting, though.keepyourheadup wrote:This game will come down to which team dictates the style of play.
