Let's Play Hockey PWA Rankings Dec. 8th

Post by PWGUY33 »

PeeWee A

1 PRIOR LAKE/SAVAGE

2 Lakeville South

3 Eden Prairie

4 Elk River

5 Osseo/Maple Grove

6 Stillwater

7 Hermantown

8 Edina

9 Minnetonka

10 Centennial

11 Farmington

12 St. Michael-Albertville

13 White Bear Lake

14 Highland Central

15 Jefferson

16 Wayzata Blue

17 Waconia

18 Woodbury

19 Hastings

20 Blaine

I'm really wondering if the these rankings are good or not. The top 10 is always easy. 11-15 are typically ok. 16-20 I think they just throw out whoever. For example Woodbury at #18 they are .500 team with zero wins against the teams ahead of them or the 2 below them but you leave out Lakeville North who beat Woodbury 2-1 and tied #5 OMG, #12 STMA and #11 Farmington, Woodbury has lost 10-2 and 10-0 to #5 OMG and Lost Lakeville North 2-1. Now I know Lakeville North has zero wins against the top 20 but has fared much better.

#19 Hastings is in the same boat zero wins against any team with a winning record they have wins against Virgina, Red Wing, Grand Rapids, Hibbing, Cloquet, Burnsville, and Northfield and Losses to Lakeville South, Anoka, Mpls. Park and ties against Apple Valley and Tartan.

Agreed.

So should Forest Lake.

Neither is Top 10, but definitely Top 20.

Irondale is in first place in their District (per a tweet I got last night from their Association).

In the tweet did they mention they have played 2 more games than the next 2 in standings? Not to mention wins over the weakest of D10 teams  I guess if it makes you feel good go for it, kind of like kissing OG85 chunky wife

Nope: OMG is 5-3 vs. the YHH top 10....including a win over LVS (very early in the season) and 2 over Tonka. Their #4 this week is deserved. But like I said elsewhere, 4-8 are Tier 2 right now behind EP (for whom they lost to up in Duluth), PL and LVS.
