AHA vs. BSM
Should be a good game. BSM has the edge but is AHA ready to make a statement with a big win.

Over the years I have been slammed by most people who "know it all", but do not really know anything. Back in 2004 I was slammed by an AHA parent who said that you never pick your team to lose, so since then I have never posted that I will pick AHA to lose.
But I have seen BSM play and I can say they look pretty good. AHA is in a rebuilding year so they could go back and fourth.
After three games by AHA I have seen a lot of improvement but am still skeptical on a couple of points.
But my prediction is an OT win by AHA, if the STARS are aligned...sorry for the pun

OK. Being you can't say it for fear of being flogged, I'll say it for you. Benilde in running time. 7-2Zamman wrote:Over the years I have been slammed by most people who "know it all", but do not really know anything. running time
Running time starts at 6 goals. so, it would have to be when the score is 6-0, or 7-1.

Just looked at box score, third period goals by Labosky, moore, Ellegard, and Collins. BSM must have gotten some mid-season transfers that bumped these guys down to "3rd and 4th Line" ...Edgy wrote:In the first 2 periods, looks like it was the top line or 2 from BSM doing all the damage. Ellegard was playing on the third line tonight and Collins is the 5th defenseman.starmvp wrote:Just looked at box score, third period goals by Labosky, moore, Ellegard, and Collins. It was one of those nights where the goalie(s) played very poorly. All three of them in this case were having a real tough time...not that they were getting much help from their D. But I would say with just average goaltending the score would have been closer to 8-2. BSM did have some great sniping shots, however, that probably would have gotten past just about any goaltender.vonney16 wrote:AHA is on their 3rd and freshman goalie as they're losing 11-1

I honestly don't see the problem with this score. If you have a problem with BSM "running it up", then that's your problem. You can still have class and put up big numbers.
If anything, I'd be more disrespected if I knew a team wasn't trying as hard. Plus letting up doesn't really send the right message to your team either...I wouldn't expect anything less than 100% at all times from every player. I'm guessing BSM was running 4 lines in the third, so I don't really see what the problem is. AHA took one on the chin, but they just need to refocus and come back ready to play tomorrow.

You know as an AHA fan I defended the team for years when they were the top dogs in the pen. But now they are not and will get blasted again, i am assuming. I am also sure that they are learning and have only three seniors and one is a goalie. They lost a lot of scoring and leadership from last year.bubblehockey27 wrote:I honestly don't see the problem with this score. One thing that I did notice is that there was not a lot of chippy play in the third period. When AHA put up these types of numbers the opposing team would be real cheap and that just made it worse....
