What an idiot that poster was to start a topic that Benilde was running up the score. This is Varsity hockey and you better put a decent team on the ice or this will happen, its not BSM's fault its Coopers problem. The kids only play 20 some games a year, what do you tell them "your to good we are going to sit our top 2 lines for half the games"? Come on grow up. If you take a look at the scoring sheet you will see that a 9th grader from the 3 or 4th line scored 5 goals and had 3 helpers. Also, they called up 4 guys from the JV who also scored and assisted on a bunch of goals. All you can do is play your guys when the 3rd period starts and you are up by 16 than the 3rd and 4th liners get most the time but you still have to play the others guys a couple shifts. Benilde has tried for many years to get out of the conference for hockey but MSHL turns them down. At least they only play each team once. The only reason they dont change is becasue its a small school and even though their football is good they dont have the numbers for football that the big schools have. Any other sport they would still win the league and compete for state titles (lacrosse, hockey,basketball,baseball,soccer,golf). Anyway enough of the run up the score crap, let the kids play, the final scoe is the final score and you move on. Its not a fun game for the team that wins by 21 or loses by 21.
