Minnesota High School Hockey Pick'em Contest - Final Stretch

Post by KrautBache »

Let's face it, hockey is a neat game and everything, but what's really important is who does well in the Pick'em Contest! :D

With two games left, here's where things appear to stand with all contenders for the Championship (i.e., those within 2 points of first place):

Participant - points through 2/16 game (picks for Saturday's games)
Roseauverrated - 72 (Edina, Moorhead)
TTPuckster - 70 (Eden Prairie, Moorhead)
puck76 - 70 (Edina, Hill Murray)
elliot70 - 70 (Edina, Moorhead)
blindref - 70 (Eden Prairie, Hill Murray)
KrautBache - 70 (Eden Prairie, Hill Murray)

So, if either Edina or Moorhead win, Roseauverrated wins it all. If EP and HM win, blindref and KB will tie with Roseauverrated for first.

Congrats, Roseauverrated, for securing at least a share of 1st. Hopefully blindref and I will be able to climb up on that podium with you. I'm already working on writing "Hi Mom" on my palm.

By the way, where is the awards ceremony held for this thing?

:)

As a Minnetonka fan, I'm not sure how to feel about this. If Edina wins, Tonka shares the Lake title but I'm alone in first place. If Edina loses, Tonka wins the Lake alone but there's a chance I share the pick 'em title. The perfect scenario would be and Edina loss coupled with a Moorhead win.

Kraut,
Hopefully my former Willmar Cardinal teammate, Lee Smith, can work some work some magic against the Hornets even though they are missing some guys.

RR,
You can be like Eurozine and and wave me and Kraut up to the podium
If the Pios can peels the spuds as well.

Congratulations Roseauoverated.

At the State Tourney banquet, of course. Once they finish off all that Mr. Hockey nonsense, they hand out the state's most prestigious award.

Hill Murray won, and EP leads Edina after 2 (3-2). The stars just may align for us yet, blindref! Please thank Coach Smith for me if they hold on to win (and of course I'll be sure to mention him in my speech).

Yeah, congrats Puck on your Silver. At least we took home some hardware this year, blindref, even if it is just bronze. I'll be training hard this summer for another run at the title.
