On paper Hill should win, but as we've seen numerous times in these playoffs, anything can happen. Don't forget Roseville took Wayzata to OT earlier this year.

In the end, I think Hill pulls out the victory.

I think Roseville will play them tough for a couple periods, but Hill will pull away. Hill 5-2.

This game is way too close for my liking. Hill starts the third with a power play and they really need to convert. Roseville has been pesky all night long and Hill needs to just put them away.

Is anyone else's live stream not working? Is it being broadcasted on TV at all?

Nice for Hill to get past this one but they need to sharpen up between now and next Thursday. Yikes.

Are the AA state brackets set yet? Who will Hill play on Thursday?

This was a very hard fought, well played and fun game at the Coliseum. Roseville and their goalie Zach Larson played a great game. Roseville's effort and spirit were 10 times what Stillwater put out on Wednesday. Shots were 37-21 HM and they had most of the good scoring chances. HM's top players Charlie Sampair, Jake Guentzel, Zach LaValle and d-man Blake Heinrich really stood out tonight.

Congratulations to Coach Lechner and the Pioneers. 25th trip to State for HM. Coach Lechner took only 6 returning players, a goalie with almost no varsity experience and 12 JVers and has won conference and section titles. This makes 10 straight. They will be an underdog against any of the top 4 next week but they are playing really well right now.

We left the 2nd game only 10 minutes in. Complete blow out for Maple Grove. That 5 minute major on Brodzinski killed Blaine's chances.

Let me join those congratulating Roseville. They played about as well as they could tonight. Larson was great in goal, but Hill just had too many weapons. I think the Pioneers will be a handful for any of the seeded teams next week. Personally, I would like to see them match up against Maple Grove. We'll fnid out tomorrow morning

Good game plan for Roseville to play tight, conservative defense, and wait it out for their own chances. Seemed like every time that they flung the puck at the net that it was a good scoring chance. Roseville has a lot to be proud of for their finish this year, I'm sure that they would have been very happy at the beginning season to know that they made it to the section championship and had a legitimate shot at going to state. Hopefully they can carry this over to next year and use it as motivation.

Best of luck to the Pioneers at State. Like stpaul said, they'll be an underdog at the X next week in the quarterfinals, but Lex will get them ready and they'll give any one of those top 4 seeds a run for their money. For as young, and new as some of those players for Hill are, it's a great achievement to be back t the X and Conference champs again.

Very good game.

Hill was obviously the better team, but when Roseville had chances they took advantage of them. I forgot the name, but one of their players netted a really nice backhander on 2-on-1 to tie things up at the very end of the first period.

To be honest I was expecting Roseville's fanbase to be larger seeing how it is a big district. Their side looked really sparse and Hill fans probably outnumbered Roseville fans 2 to 1. I don't know where everyone comes from, but the black and green clad fans sure manage to come crawling out of the woodwork in impressive numbers come section finals/state tournament time.

Good game overall, though. Best of luck to Lechner and the team at the X.

Did they win the conference title last year? Last time I checked they lost to White Bear. That would make it only 1 straight.

I was referring to a 10 game winning streak that they are now on, not section or conference titles.

Plenty of potential college level talent in those returning six. HM has the ability to attact top level talent each and every year. There are skaters on HM's JV that would start on their neighbor's top two varsity lines.
