When did the tourney first start using them, and what was the last year?

Not sure when they started using them, but i believe the last year was either 93 or 94?

You hear Housley talking about em during the STA game today? He made some stupid comment like: "yeah, they are in my backyard now, hah, hah"

Phil was a much better player than a commentator

I think the moment they went to the Civic Center, but I'm not sure on that.

1994: The majority was still clear boards, but they threw up some advertisements in the corners, so that was the beginning of the end.

1995: Full boards with ads. The Moose came in, so needing the $, that was the end of it.

Clear Boards

The clear boards were part of the kitsch of the WHA and Minnesota Fighting Saints. I believe they were used the first year that the tournament moved to the Civic Center -- 1976.
